How many people can travel on the boat?
Azzurra Boats can take up to 12 guests on board, the number set by the boat's navigation licence. The price covers 6 guests; above that number it rises with the size of the group, and the figure we quote you already includes it.
How much does a private boat tour on Lake Como cost?
A private boat tour with Azzurra Boats costs €350 for one hour and €1,800 for a full day of eight hours. Prices are per boat, not per person, and VAT is included. Skipper, fuel and drinking water are included.
Do I need a boat licence?
No boat licence is needed to book with Azzurra Boats. A skipper is on board on every booking, on tours and on the boat at your disposal alike. Azzurra Boats does not hire out boats without a skipper.
What happens if it rains?
Azzurra Boats does not cancel for rain alone. The boats close and are heated. Cancellation is decided by the captain, on the day, when the wind makes the crossing unsafe, and in that case you are refunded in full or you pick a new date.
Can we swim during the tour?
Yes. Swimming is allowed on every tour, and the skipper stops wherever the water suits it. Tell us when you book if you want a swim stop, so the route leaves time for it.
Can we bring our own food and drinks on board?
Drinking water is included on every booking. For anything else you would like on board, ask us when you book.
How far in advance should I book?
Azzurra Boats requires one day between the request and the date of departure. The operating season runs from April to October.
Where do the boats leave from?
Azzurra Boats agrees the departure point with you when you book. There is no fixed pier: you tell us where you want to board, and the point and the time are confirmed together with the booking. Private villas, restaurants and beach clubs are all possible, at no extra cost.
Is the tour private or shared?
Every tour with Azzurra Boats is private. The boat is booked for one group at a time, and the price is per boat rather than per person.
What languages do the skippers speak?
Azzurra Boats skippers speak English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Can we bring children on board?
Children are welcome on board. Guests under 18 travel with a parent or guardian, and life jackets are carried for every guest.
Can we choose the itinerary?
Yes. Azzurra Boats offers the boat at your disposal with a skipper: you decide the route, the stops and how long they last, and the skipper waits for you. The hourly prices are the same as the private tours.
