We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to do so.
What we collect
When you send a quote request, we collect what you type into the form:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The number of people travelling
- The date you are asking about
- Your preferred time, if you give one
- The pickup point you would like, if you give one
- Anything else you write in the free text field
- Your confirmation that you have read this policy
At the same time, when you have accepted marketing cookies, we record technical information about how you reached us:
- The first page of our site you landed on
- The date and time you sent the request
- Advertising click identifiers (gclid, wbraid, gbraid) and campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), when you arrive through an advertisement and accept marketing cookies
These identifiers tell us which advertisement brought you to the site. They do not tell us your name, your location or anything you have done on other websites.
We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not ask for any special category of data such as health information. If you tell us something about your health or accessibility needs in the free text field, you are doing so voluntarily and we use it only to plan your booking.

You can withdraw consent for cookies at any time through the cookie settings on this site. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Advertising measurement. When a request we received from an advertisement turns into a booking, we may send the advertising click identifier back to Google Ads together with the value of that booking. This tells Google which advertisements produce real business. We do not send your name, your email address or your phone number.
When you accept marketing cookies, we also send Google an irreversible hashed version of your email address, so that Google can tell us whether your enquiry came from one of our advertising campaigns. The address is hashed in your browser before it is sent, and Google never receives it in readable form. If you decline marketing cookies, nothing is sent. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer of this site.
Transfers of data outside the European Economic Area rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, for United States providers, on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your data may also be disclosed to our accountant, and to public authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Requests that do not become bookings: 24 months from the date of the request, then deleted.
- Requests that become bookings: 10 years, the period Italian law requires accounting records to be kept.
- Advertising identifiers: 90 days, the lifetime of the cookie that carries them.
Cookies
This site uses:
- Necessary cookies, which make the site work and which we set without asking.
- Analytics and advertising cookies, including the first-party cookies that carry advertising click identifiers and campaign parameters for 90 days, which we set only after you give your consent.

Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted, where we have no legal obligation to keep it
- Ask us to restrict how we use your data
- Object to our use of your data for our legitimate interests
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these, write to info@azzurraboats.com. We reply within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.gpdp.it), or to the authority in the country where you live.
Is it compulsory
You do not have to send us anything. But we cannot prepare a quote without your name, your email address, your phone number, the number of people and the date: those fields are required because without them there is nothing to reply to.
Changes
If we change this policy we will publish the new version on this page and update the date below.
